At Sepio Labs ("we", "our", or "us"), we respect your privacy and are deeply committed to protecting your personal data. Sepio ERD is designed as a local-first application. This means the vast majority of your data processing happens directly on your device, not on our servers.
2. Local-First Storage & Offline Mode
When you use Sepio ERD without signing in, the application operates entirely offline. All database schema designs, canvas positions, and configurations are saved locally in your browser using standard Web APIs (such as IndexedDB). We do not have access to this data, and it is not transmitted to our servers.
3. Cloud Sync & Accounts (Optional)
If you choose to create an account to unlock Cloud Sync, Multiplayer Collaboration, or Link Sharing features, we collect the following:
- Account Information: Name, email address, and authentication credentials.
- Schema Data: The visual and relational structure of schemas you explicitly choose to sync to the cloud.
Even when synced, your schema data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We never sell your database schemas or use them to train AI models without your explicit, separate consent.
4. Telemetry and Analytics
We collect minimal, anonymized telemetry data (such as application crash logs and basic feature usage counters) to improve the performance of Sepio ERD. This data contains no personally identifiable information (PII) and no content from your actual database schemas. You can opt out of telemetry entirely within your application settings.
5. Your Rights
You have full control over your data. You may export your schema files at any time. If you have created a cloud account, you can permanently delete your account and all associated cloud-synced schemas from your account settings page.
